That Was Quick
Time for another update again. It was never really this often for my previous blog for obvious reasons, one mainly the length of it. Anyways, it's going to be the end of another week yet again! It has been a very tiring week because I have been getting very little sleep especially on Monday (21 January 2019). Here's the run down of the reason why. Basically I had an 08:00 am class the next day and I slept at around 02:00 am and woke up at about 06:00 am? Well, you might think that is a very small contribution, but the day I spent in school was very long, until about 10:30 pm as I had to help a good friend of mine to complete her design project for our IS module.

As much as I hate to say it, it's been very long since I have stayed back till very late, particularly in school. With few others, it felt like old times again despite it being only last year. In the end, I managed to help my friend with the project so it's productive as I get to complete most of my work as well. We were the last people standing, getting chased by an irritated security guard. That night as I was going home, I was very tired to the point of losing three of my five senses until I got home and sleep after bathing.
1) The End of Parts
As tired as I was, life still have to continue. The tiredness consumed into Wednesday (23 January 2019) as well. Following the next day, which is today, included a test from an IS module called "CQ at Work". The total overall weightage for that test was 15%, and I got 6%. I initially thought I passed until I realized that 6 x 2 = 12 as I didn't realize the total for the test was 15%. Well, the good news is I got back the report my team and I have been working on for that module along with how our presentation went. We got an A which was very surprising because of how rushed our presentation slides was and the amount of mistakes we found in our report towards the end, although one of them got a B+. A sigh of relief for all the hard work that have paid off and that lesson ended for the year, giving us one hell of a stressful experience.
I went to find my friend in my school's library and began to help her before we went into class to submit our Design Project. We went to have lunch afterwards before going home. Introduction to Interior Design is one of the best modules I have ever taken from my time in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Finally a module which really suits where I truly belong, with it also comes the signs that tell me I should work on my design skills. The only thing tedious was the rendering of the photos. It was initially thought that it would only take a day or so, I ended up having to get help with my friend as she also had difficulty rendering her photos. The experience for this module? Nothing but fun and no much stress.
2) As Life Moves On
Well, I never really thought how it would be like in my second year in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. It is going to end soon and when it is going to end soon, it means that the exams are very near to which I have to prepare for them. Hopefully I have the energy to work hard and pass all of them. With that out of the way will come the two months' holidays. I am definitely going to find something productive to do like work as most of the diseased people I used to know are gone from my life, lessening many worries which takes away a lot from my holidays. Life is definitely happier.
The sad thing though is that when the new term starts, nearly more than half of the good people I know will be away for internship. When they come back, it is my turn to go for internship and the only time I will see them again in school will be graduation, assuming that I make it to the end. Blame me for being sappy but they made my life for my Second Year in Ngee Ann Polytechnic an enjoyable one and I will never forget the moments. Hopefully, I get to hang out with some of them if they are free during their internship period. Luckily, some of my friends will also still be in school for the next semester as well as some having high chances of being my classmates. Only time will tell. Till the next post!
Signing off,
Yai Kai Soon
